Pros/Cons of shorter/longer event length if always recording?
Pros/Cons of shorter/longer event length if always recording?
I'm setting up a constant recording rig and currently the event length is 10 minutes. Having so many events everyday makes the event list pretty cluttered. Other than downloading or file transfer issues after the fact, does it make any difference to performance during recording if I go to 30 minute recording lengths for events? Should memory/cpu usage be the same? I'm using h264 passthrough.

I can’t see it affecting performance.

So far looks like you were right Magic.
All memory usage is the same. Its what I expected but figured asking if anyone had ever noticed any difference couldn't hurt. Thanks for the reply!
No more 8 million events per day!
