Hey guys,
So I've set up Zoneminder with 1 camera so far, and my live view is great. No lag, no problems. However my recordings from Modect are less than optimal. It seems like the framerate fluctuates, sometimes with 2-3 second spikes where moving things appear to jump from one place to another. Anyone have any ideas on how to debug this or any potential fixes?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Live view OK but recordings choppy?
Re: Live view OK but recordings choppy?
Is it an issue of resources: Lower FPS and resolution. Does that work?
Can also tune by changing source type, and possibly disabling JPEG storage in favor of passthrough... Using linked monitors...
What is the make/model of the camera? Some cameras work better than others.

fastest way to test streams:
ffmpeg -i rtsp://<ipaddress>:554/path output.mp4
from terminal, and run through paths on ispydb or in zm hcl
