Hi
I'm beginner of using ZoneMinder.
Like to try to see how it works and I have got it to run but have two question

Can I see how long is going to recording?
Right now I have done so it always recording but I can't find where to set how many days is going to recording.
I like to make it recording only a week (7 days)

Question two is I like to access outside my home and I going to make it a proxy on my other apache server but I need to have some security.
I have add a user that only going to view but how do I set so it ask for a password?

I have find something in the system setting "AUTH_TYPE" and remote, but when I did select "remote" and save it it still not asking for a user and a password?

/Update

No when I did that the camera loss it access to the ZM and can't recording??

/Update 2

Now I start to wonder what is going on?

On my default webserver I did add ProxyPass/ProxyReverse to my ZM server,
I did also add Authtype Basic so it going to ask for a username and password.
evertyhing looks fine but now I can't see any on the montage or even when I click on the monitor

This part of the forum is for the development version of Zoneminder. As a new user may I recommend you stick with the released version, ZM 1.32.3.
You also need to provide the Linix distro and version you are using.

As for keeping events, you can set a filter to delete events older than one week. All this is documented if you search for it.

Ahh ok maybe do that.
I just like to try the lastest version :)
Running on a Ubuntu Server 18.04

But I have got something to work, I just run VPN and access it from my local network when I'm not at home.

And I going to search for events and filter.
