How to add RING Doorbell Pro Camera to ZM 1.31.1

Post by jrahman »

Hello:
Recently, I have installed a RING Doorbell Pro camera (https://shop.ring.com/collections/video ... 6549588171) for my home entrance. This doorbell camera is hooked up to my home WiFi network.

While I am using ZM 1.31.1 for my home video surveillance, I would like to add that RING Doorbell Pro camera to my ZM server, so that I could monitor and record any motion detection conveniently from one location.

Thanks.

JR.

Well it uses libmicrohttpd, so after you upgrade to 1.32.2 you might be able to use a web type monitor to view the cam, but you will not be able to do modetect on it. From the web type monitor you might be able to control the camera natively.
It's a little short on technical details and since a google of ring door bell camera rstp comes up pretty short, you're probably out of luck getting it to "work" with ZM.

Put a ZM connected camera in a closet aimed at a old ipad or device which is in "live mode" on the ring camera feed...

Sorry, not being sarcastic, but it might work...

I had the same question btw...
