monitor id

I've got a setup with 19 pretty much identical cameras. During testing I created a monitor and then cloned it. I realized I made a mistake and removed all the monitors. I've corrected the monitor ids in the database to match the names, but when i try to add a new monitor the id is 38 instead of 20. Where is this number stored?
