"Zones" field remains 0

I have noticed that the web gui "Zones" field associated with each monitor always reads 0
iconner PPA v 1.31.45 through to v 1.31.47. this appears in both Master and Storageareas

Installed on a system that is similar in OS and set up and the "Zones" display correctly. So the above error must be unique to that set up.

this issue has popped up again on another installation. as does continual zmc crashes and restarts. Stream starts okay runs nicely for 10 seconds and disappears into a flurry of errors in the logs. But nothing really to pinpoint the problem in miles of logs set at debug level 9
