Camera audio with StorageAreas branch?

I was under the impression the StorageAreas branch has audio working for streams? I can't hear audio on any of my cameras, not in live nor in event viewing. I've definitely enabled h264 and the checkbox that says to store audio streams..

WHen you say enabled h264 do you mean passthrough or h264 encode? Audio will only work in passthrough.

Also it is possible that your camera is doing something that my cameras don't. I will need debug logs to determine.

Please note that audio only works in events, not in live view.
