Fail2ban requirements

Post by Thomas007 »

I read viewtopic.php?t=24470 about configuration of fail2ban for Zoneminder. It doesn't work for me, maybe I put the lines in the wrong sections of the config files...

Anyway, is this really necessarry? ZM uses Apache on Ubuntu, so can't fail2ban simply be configured for apache?

I have it configured for apache and it does the job. Zoneminder is the only thing I have exposed to the internet and Fail2ban will definitely detect and block failed login attempts per configuration settings.
