events folder kept getting deleted

It is a Centos 7 with 1.30.4. The "Path" under Options/Storage is "/var/lib/zoneminder/events/". However, every time I clicked on the "DELETE" button on the Events List view, The events directory, the whole directory, got deleted and subsequently no videos left. How to resolve that?

Sorry. I found out that it is 1.32.2. And also if uncheck "Do Delete", the folder will not be deleted.
