Log file grows quickly after ZM login expires

Post by tcg »

I'm running 1.30.4. I have several users who monitor cameras using Montage Review. I've noticed that when they leave their browser windows open for an extended period, the ZM automatic timeout expires the login and the number of log messages in my ZM log files increases drastically. The log messages (see below) are happening very quickly so my log files grow and eventually fill up my partition. What's the best way to handle this (besides training my users not to leave their sessions open)? Is there a way to throttle this?

Code: Select all

I have several users set to view montage. Using Firefox with a tab refresh tool to refresh the connection every 5 minutes. Think it is called Tab Auto Refresh. Reloadmatic:Automatic Tab refresh should work.
Also check the connections used in the database. Viewing montage uses a lot of connections. For my 17 camera system I have max-connections set to 1000.

Thanks for that information. I found and installed the extension and made the adjustments to my database. The Montage Review runs in a new window rather than a tab so I don't see how to change the refresh for that. So do you set the refresh on the main ZM window?
