disable camera, not working ?

Hi,
I have dicsonnected a camera, and disabled it, but zoneminder still complains "Unable to open input ".
I can also see, that it it utilizes 100% CPU, how can this be ?

I want still to have thecamera configuration in place, but not in use.

Under Source click on the camera (usually the IP address of the camera), change Function to None and uncheck Enabled. Click Save

thx. But that requires me to do changes for the camera, other than "enable". Whats the purpose of "enable" then ?

I would be interested to see an answer to this question as I have the same problem. I have a camera which is currently not working but I don't want to change any parameters other than to disable it. If that is not what disable is for then what would it be used for?
