Did anything change before the problem? This was not right after you upgraded to 17.10 is it?

I have a "feeling" that this problem has been with me since 16.04. I know this is not a very helpful statement. I will do a fresh install soon going to 18.04.1 and then, if the problem persists, I will be able to supply a more consistent context description.

I was hoping someone could give me a hint about what to look for. Maybe someone else have experience with live55proxy?

The setup is this:
Buggy Chinese ipcam -> live555proxy@localhost -> zonemender ffmpeg cam

Ip cam is a AK47L7:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=25803

live555proxy:
https://github.com/rgaufman/live555
using live555proxyserver -D 15

Cam just died now. I have "_zma_m8|_zmc_m8" logging at level 7. This is the result:
Wb GUI logg:
