In case there are those of you with nothing better to do than "test" software, there is an install procedure on the Zoneminder WIKI for Ubuntu 18.04 Nightly Build:
https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Serv ... e_easy_way
The procedure is slightly different than existing installs on Ubuntu (actually a bit more like Debian 9) so be sure to read and follow the instructions! And, don't be surprised if something changes in the next couple of months. Ubuntu 18.04 is scheduled for release on 28APR18.
I would strongly recommend you do the test install on a PC you can afford to mess up or a VM (yes, I did my testing on Virtual Box). I will not provide a shoulder to cry on if you mess up a production ZM server...
EXPECT THINGS TO CHANGE!!!
