This didn't come up in search, but I'm wondering if, when requesting a single image from nph-zms, instead of:
/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=single&monitor=3
we could use something like
/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=single&monitor_name=Doorway
I tried a few iterations but it doesn't seem to work.
I have a script that pulls a couple of images into a directory for people to view (the script runs as a cron job; they can't run or control it directly), and if I change monitor IDs around the wrong images get sent to the directory. Where they are supposed to be able to see a doorway they may end up seeing a loading dock, or side gate, etc. I figured if I could reference monitors by name instead of ID, if the name "breaks" then the image will simply fail.
Possible to pass monitor name to nph-zms instead of ID?

It can be made do work that way but doesn't currently.
