ZM 1.30.4 API issue on ubuntu 17.10

Well, looks like you are in a bind. I say this because you will likely want to upgrade to 18.04 when it is released at the end of April. If you spend a lot of time getting Zoneminder to work on 17.10 it is highly likely the upgrade to 18.04 will mess it up again. Just wanted you to know.

I really used the instructions posted on the link above for my installation, but I fell anyhow in the problem.
I can use some of my wasted time to make some strange trying, but, as you say bbunge, I guess that the best option is to wait next OS release.

Something is changed copying the Plugin folder... now there is a JSON response, but still also the wrong response:

Okay that is a beginning and a good sign! Do you have the API enabled in the ZM options? What kind of authorization for ZM do you have enabled? Try to login to the ZM web console and then in a new tab in the browser try the URL again and see what JSON returns. I think your close to getting it running. I believe the API is not enabled or doesn't have the proper login / authorization details hence the success:false.
