Turning off events and image processing

Post by tpitman »

I would like to just record all video without any processing. I think my computer (embedded ARM64) device just isn't powerful enough because it keeps locking up.

I really only want to record all video anyway.

Is there a way to just have zoneminder record everything and not try to process the video / images?

If you mean "record as H.264 streams", then the answer is "that's coming in the next major release"; I think you can get it in iconnor's PPA if you pick the right options; it is either beta or gamma at this stage, from things I've heard.

It might be what I mean, but I am not familiar enough with ZM yet to determine that.

All I know is that when I look at the logs I keep seeing these messages about analyzing frames and I don't want my device to have to analyze any frames. I just want straight recording without analyzing.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I should think that just using Record mode would do that; it doesn't do any motion detection. Have you tried that?

I have it set to record as the type and I still keep seeing these messages about analyzing frames.

Interesting.

Are you seeing zma processes running, then, as well as zmc's?

Yes, and if you look at the log file I attached, it is crashing and being stopped and seems to be causing all kinds of issues.
