ZoneMinder RPM Releases have moved from Zmrepo to RPM Fusion

Post by knight-of-ni »

New ZoneMinder Releases have moved from Zmrepo to RPM Fusion

For the short term, Zmrepo will continue to host both ZoneMinder releases and ZoneMinder nightly builds.
The long term goal will be to host nightly development builds (only) on Zmrepo and releases (only) on RPM Fusion.

ZoneMinder Releases for New Users

If you are new user, running a redhat distro or a clone, please follow the instructions in one of the links below to install ZoneMinder from RPMFusion:

Everyone but RHEL/CentOS 6 users -> http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... zoneminder

RHEL/CentOS 6 users only -> http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... l-centos-6

ZoneMinder Releases for Existing Users

If you are an existing user, and you are not using CentOS 6, then follow these instructions to switch from zmrepo to RPM Fusion:
http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... rpm-fusion

If you are an existing user, and you are using CentOS 6, then you should review the following:
http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... l-centos-6

ZoneMinder releases for CentOS 6 will continue to be hosted on zmrepo up until EOL is officially announced. This announcement will likely come when we finally hit a build problem which cannot be solved without upgrading the operating system. Please understand this is not an arbitrary decision we are making. We have already had a couple of close calls, which is why we know the end is near.

ZoneMinder Development Builds for New or Existing Users

The latest, sometimes bleeding edge, builds are still available from https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/. This has not changed and will not change for the foreseeable future.
Visit my blog for ZoneMinder related projects using the Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, Odroid, and the ESP8266
