How do I extend motion detection alarm duration

New Zoneminder user.

I have one camera and am using motion detection. This works. But it seems that the action I am capturing is a bit too stop&start in nature, in that the events are each only a few seconds long and in many cases the next event begins very shortly after the end of the previous event.

So the "real-world" event I'm observing is being cut into multiple short Zoneminder events; I would like to coalesce them.

So I was wondering whether it is possible for motion detection alarms to always be extended by, say, 10 seconds.

Thank you.

Hi. Check your monitor buffer tab. More specifically, the pre and post buffers determine how much is recorded before the event (for context) and after the event. See here for reference: http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/sta ... nitor.html
