Camera not working

Post by whois1230 » Thu Mar 14, 2019 11:46 am

Hello, I use Zoneminder 1.30.4 on Debian 9.8 stable. It used to work fine, but now the camera started malfunctioning. I got the following errors(the log was red):
2019-03-14 10:22:02.548500 zmwatch 1123 ERR Error getting last capture time for Monitor-1

2019-03-14 10:21:32.125940 zmdc 1079 ERR 'zmc -d /dev/video1' exited abnormally, exit status 255

I am using a USB camera in offline mode(Local/ Modect).

p.s. I got a third error: 2019-03-14 15:04:49.784110 zmdc 1007 WAR Can't find process with command of 'zma -m 6'
This time the log was orange.

By offline do you mean the pc is not connected to a network? If so with a USB local camera it should not matter.

I set up my test PC with Debian 9, loaded up Zoneminder 1.30.4 per the instructions in the WIKI and connected a Logitech USB V-UBK45 camera. Running Local, Pal B, 32 BIT colour, 640x480 with the three FPS settings at 5.0. Only other thing I did was to set PATH_SWAP to /dev/shm. System is running well with no errors. Would recheck permissions for your ZM system: ... e_Easy_Way
