IP cam and Webcam together to argue

Post by gstraccio »

Hi all!

I've been dealing with Zoneminder 1.29.0 on my
old laptop wth ubuntu.

At the moment, i've installed one IP cam an one
webcam. They work individually well but not contextually.

If i enable my webcam before, my IP cam doesn't start.
In order to see my IP cam i've to disable the webcam.

My IP cam is configured as "Source type" remote, "Remote protocol"
RTSP.
My webcam si instead configured as "Source type" Local,"Device Path"
/dev/dev0, "capture method" Video For Linux version 2.

Any Ideas?

"One camera won't work until I disable the other" is very often "I don't have enough shared memory".

Assuming this is a new install; try setting both cameras and both monitors down to 640x480 24-bit at about 6fps, and see if that works.

It's worked!

Would you suggest me to change computer or to upgrade to a more
modern zoneminder version?
