Axis camera issues

Hi everyone! So I am having an issue with my Axis IP cameras coming up in Zoneminder. I believe it is an authentication issue, but this is only a problem for specific models it seems. So the AXIS 1025's show up fine using:

Remote Protocol: HTTP
Remote Method: Simple
Remote Host Name: username:password@<IP ADDRESS>
Remote Host port: 80
Remote Host Path: /axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=640x480

The cameras that are not working (AXIS P1364 and the M3045-V) I get a blue screen and a time stamp. If I turn on, "enable anonymous viewer login" I can see the video fine. I am trying to avoid using the anonymous viewer login if I can.

Thanks guys!

I did consult with the Wiki and it doesn't have these specific models. No matter how I do my configuration I get authentication errors.

As a starting point, get your camera to work in VLC then use those settings in Zoneminder. Ffmpeg is the best to use with newer cameras and make sure you have the resolution right!

Did you get this working by any chance?

Just installed ZM v1.30.4 and I'm running into the same issue with two Axis cameras (M3007 and F41). I enabled anonymous viewing as a temporary workaround and the video feed works correctly.

I have 4 of these AXIS M3104-LVE devices (support for these should at least be on the roadmap b/c apparently Comcast is using them now and there will be a ton of used ones on the market since their prices are high and their customer service is terrible...) and am unable to get video from them into ZM, although I have no issues connecting straight to them.

Screen grabs of my settings attached. Checking out ivideon (Update: requires desktop OS, and these are headless LXD containers, havent managed to get VNC working correctly on one yet) or Kerberos.io (lots of compiling since no LXC image available, only Docker and don't care to nest them.)

It should be noted that I have changed settings multiple times and followed multiple guides to no avail:

https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Axis#AXIS_M3007

https://wiki.zoneminder.com/How_to_setu ... _tilt_zoom

http://www.ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=Axis

As you can see from the screen shot attachment my Axis camera is still not usable. ZM is running as version 1.30.4 on Ubuntu 17.04 Xenial as a LXD container. I also had a Vivotek IP7330 POE camera hooked up but it was also bug riddled on ZM and it took about a week to find the correct settings.

Thanks.

Anonymous seems to work, but HTTP auth is broken in this version or something...

Could it be your container is not allocating enough memory for Zoneminder? For this and other reasons I do not recommend using a container!!!

I'd find it a bit unusual that the server side would have a problem just because the camera has auth on; camera auth login and https transport are separate issues, and the latter would be much more likely to leak into the server side.

Can you paste in a segment of your ZMC log with auth enabled on the camera, and the monitor configured for it?

Hi Guys. I never did get it resolved. I ended up using anonymous mode to get the feed. That seems to work, but I still can't figure out why some camera models work and others don't!

You need to configure the Axis camera to accept "unencrypted/encrypted" passwords.

How do you do that?

In the screen : System -- Users under HTTP/RTSP Password settings.
