HIKvision DS-2CD2132F-IS firmware versionV5.3.0 build 150513

Post by NateCluff »

I have run into a problem with some new HIKvision cameras model DS-2CD2132F-IS that I haven't been able to find a solution anywhere.
Here is my setup, I am running Zoneminder v1.28.1 and have 7 HIKvision DS-2CD2132F-IS cameras and one Panasonic BL-C210 and currently have no problems with the current 8 cameras.

I am looking to add 4 more cameras to my setup so I purchased 4 more DS-2CD2132F-IS but I cannot see any image from the cameras through Zoneminder. The only difference between the original 7 and the new 4 is the firmware virsion (original cameras = V5.2.5 build 141201, new cameras = V5.3.0 build 150513). I have tried downgrading the firmware but the cameras don't really like that. The cameras are still stuck on 5.3.0 and not wanting to work with Zoneminder.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I can go with these? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Monitor configs:
Source type = Fffmpeg
Maximum FPS = 15

Source Path = rtsp://admin:mypass@10.10.7.95/Streaming/Channels/1
Capture Width = 320
Capture height = 180

Hi, can you see the image using the hikvision admin page? Firmware on Hikvision cameras can be a bit dicey because there are all sorts of variations such as US version, international and Chinese. Recently they started making it hard to put firmware for a different region on a certain cam (people often get Chinese cams which are cheaper and then want to put English firmware on them and the company wants to stop this, etc). This resulted in people trying all sorts of hacks and the whole thing is a mess. Lots of people brick these cameras by trying to upgrade or downgrade the firmware so be very careful if attempting it and do your research first.

Anyway I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW with firmware V5.3.0. Here are the settings I use with zoneminder:

Source type: ffmpeg
Source path: rtsp://username:password@192.168.1.99:554/video.h264

I would try keeping the maximum FPS blank and setting that in the Hikvision admin configuration page instead.
