Android IP Camera blue screen

I have ZM running on my server with IP camera app on my android (Nexus 5x)

I have added the monitor with precisely these instructions on the IP webcam page:

General:
Source type: Remote
Function: Monitor

Source:
Protocol: HTTP
Method: Simple
Host name: 192.168.187.88
Port: 8080
Remote host path: /video (just "video" doesn't work).

Note: If necessary, specify your username in password in URL, like this: username:password@192.168.187.88.

I can view the stream when I navigate to 192.168.187.88:8080 (a feature of ip webcam)

I can also access the network stream on VLC

But when I try to view the video on zoneminder I just get a bluescreen

Is there a setting I missed somewhere?

i've tested ip webcam for android !

it work fine with zominder ...
my setup :

General:
Source type: Remote
Function: Monitor

Source:
Protocol: HTTP
Method: Simple
Host name: 192.168.x.x ( no password, no username )
Port: 8081 ( i use 8080 for another cam )
Remote host path: /video
Target Colorspace: 24b
320/240 , 640/480, 1280/720

with firefox : 192.168.x.x:8081 it's ok

The only difference between our setups is that I use a username a password (set as per the docs)

I've tried turning the user/pass off in IP camera, but I still get a blue screen

What phone are you using?

Hello,

I have the same problem with my samsung galaxy s6.
In zoneminder logs, have "unable to decode jpeg" error.

So I got it to work. The problem was that the Server, that ZM is running on was not able to access the IP address even though it is the same network.
I don't know why it didn't see it, since my desktop did immediately, however after restarting the Server and making sure it was able to access the android IP camera using the browser, ZM worked just fine.

Seems like Linux had a problem discovering the added device/IP address.

Make sure your video resolution in IP Camera is set to the same as in the Source tab for the monitor.
This resolves the blue screen, and setting it back to something not matching will bring the blue screen back instantly.
