I was toying around with a test box installing mysql 5.6 clean which went well other box is 5.5
but I get an error installing zoneminder 1.28.1
zoneminder : Depends: mariadb-client but it is not going to be installed or
mysql-client

used install mysql-server-5.6

Older versions of ZM set up the database at install. Applies to Ubuntu 15.04 and before with included ZM version and current 1.28.1. Newer master ppa versions require db setup.
