I'm a newbie to Zoneminder and have just installed the latest version on ubuntu 14.04.3 server. I can access the web i/f via the https://x.x.x.x/zm address and have added my 4 Foscam cameras (1 x FI9826P, 3 x FI9803P).
My problem is that when I try to look at the live video streams I get nothing (just a white background in the browser pop-up where I'd expect to see the video).
FYI, I can successfully see my video streams via VLC using a "rtsp://<userid>:<password>@<ip-address>:88/videoMain" syntax.
In relation to Zoneminder I've tried various ways (having looked at what others have done with Foscam cameras) to configure the Foscam cameras.
I've also tried both Chrome & Safari (on my Mac) and I can't see any images on either. However in relation to the FI9826P (my only camera with audio) I can hear the audio (but no video).
I'm wondering if my problem isn't specific to Foscam hardware but some sort of browser issue or some stupid newbie error
Any thoughts appreciated.

Did you enable CGI in Apache?
Re: Newbie - No video/picture via web i/f
I haven't explicitly enabled it, I just followed the instructions in this link.

How can I check and/or enable CGI?
Thanks again

And now I have video

I think you have to add that step to:bbunge wrote:Did you enable CGI in Apache?

I spent 2 days trying to get video on a desktop monitor of a clean 1.28.1 install. where the other machine was working perfect in a identical setup
I remember see the install steps in 1.28.107 but was thinking it was just for that version.
Just a thought
Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon Mariadb 10.6.x using Master 1.37.x latest always

Good catch! An error on my part due to the rush to get on vacation.
Following added to how to for Ubuntu 14.04 ZM 1.28.1
CGI is not enabled in Ubuntu 14.04 by default. Enable it this way:
a2enmod cgi
