Connection Problems

Post by mattionline »

Hello,

i have connection problems to my Cameras.
The pings to the Router are very nice. No package loss, but when i ping my cameras (connected over LAN) i have a 84% package loss:

root@host:~# ping 192.168.1.135
PING 192.168.1.135 (192.168.1.135) 56(84) bytes of data.

Could you please tell me a solution for this problem or what do you think whats the problem?

Thanks in advance

Bad equipment?
Bad cable?
Saturated Wifi (all it takes it 1 camera at high frame rate)?

No one can precisely answer your question, because you have not described your network topology.

To figure it out yourself, start swapping out different pieces of network equipment and cabling until you find what is causing your packet loss. The camera itself could be bad. Only by the process of elimination will you be able to figure it out.
