Hi,
I have a camera I want in modect mode at night, and monitor during the day, while my other cameras stay in modect. I swear I found out how to do this awhile back, but I can't find it. Is it possible?

Hi,
Thanks for the response. I was under the impression that the method described in the wiki affects all cameras, not just one.

Re: Change mode of camera
Because you are defining different states, it affects however many cameras you want it to affect.

Re: Change mode of camera
Hi,
Okay. I'm not quite understanding how it works then. I do some more research and studying and either get it going, or come back with more questions.
Thanks,
Gerald

Re: Change mode of camera
For each state you can choose settings for each camera.
Say you have four cameras, you can have the following run states.
State 1
Camera 1 Monitor
Camera 2 Monitor
Camera 3 Monitor
Camera 4 Monitor
State 2
Camera 1 Modect
Camera 2 Monitor
Camera 3 Monitor
Camera 4 Monitor
State 3
Camera 1 Monitor
Camera 2 Monitor
Camera 3 Monitor
Camera 4 Modect

Am trying to add a new Run State and the Save and Delete buttons are not active on my setup. Ubuntu 14.04-2 with ZM 1.28.1. Help appreciated!

I had the same problem. I think its a UI bug. Here is what I did to fix it:bbunge wrote:Am trying to add a new Run State and the Save and Delete buttons are not active on my setup. Ubuntu 14.04-2 with ZM 1.28.1. Help appreciated!

Type in your state name, hit tab. Then press Save. It works. The problem with the flat UI is you can't make out what is greyed out and what is not. IF it helps, switch to classic mode and try this out - you will suddenly see the "Save" get active after you hit tab.
I no longer work on zmNinja, zmeventnotification, pyzm or mlapi. I may respond on occasion based on my available time/interest.

Tab trick above worked with Firefox. Was also able to add, delete, and modify Run State with Internet Explorer.
