Red Screen

Post by zifth »

hi, i am using 1.27 with Ubuntu 10.04. Camera configured as h.256 with ffmpeg with tcp. When first add it shows all cameras working. But after sometime some of these cameras gives a full red screen. But on top can see the camera time and date on left top corner, only the screen goes red. If i change the resolution on zm it might show again .. and later it goes red.
any help really appreciated.

FFMPEG uses UDP by default. Forcing TCP by adding ?tcp at the end of the source may help.
You may want to upgrade to a newer version of Ubuntu as desktop support for 10.04 has ended and server support ends in April 2015. May I recommend:

To get the libvlc to work you may have to add:
apt-get install libvlc-dev libvlccore-dev vlc

Hello zifth, did you resolve this problem?
I had the same issue after upgrading but only for 2 of my cameras. The ?tcp is already on the end of the URL.
Thanks

I also seem to be having the same issue after apt updates. http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... 31&t=22623

installed the latest ffmeg seperately, it is already with ?tcp. But still a red screen is there, some cameras are fine and some are not. No idea whats wrong. If i check without ?tcp then it shows messed up video but can see that live feed is there. Anything we could do to fix it?
