TD-9412M-D-FZ-PE-IR2 - how to get images?

Post by lista.email »

Dear IP camera experts,

I have an IP camera, model TD-9412M-D-FZ-PE-IR2 - which is a TVT IP camera with POE support.

This camera is working beautiful with windows software and Internet Explorer.

I have it configured in LAN using IP 192.168.13.216.

Internet Explorer is able to display live images using htt p://192.168.13.216/WebCam.html (require authentication, user: admin and password).
Also is working as rtsp, vlc-2.1.2 is able to open (without password) rts p://192.168.13.216:554/

Trying to do the same things on linux, I am stuck. Firefox is not accepted and Vlc-2.x, pointing the same rtsp or http stream (after authentication) is showing invalid format message.

zoneminder, after configured first monitor, is able to detect activity on camera but is displaying a red image!

ZoneMinder-1.27 is running:

[root@zoneminder ~]# zmu -l
Id Func State TrgState LastImgTim RdIdx WrIdx LastEvt FrmRate
1 3 0 0 1404763396.26 47 47 0 43.29
[root@zoneminder ~]#

Talking at technical department of those sold me camera, they confirmed that it has been tested and is working with Dahua NVR, for example, this model: NVR Dahua NVR3216-P

So, I am pretty sure that this camera should work also under linux, but I need some help to point me to the right direction.

Using it's configuration interface, I am able to see that it has also onvif section. This camera could be set to be client for:
- Dahua
- Hikvison
- Axxon
- Milestone
- Nuuo
- No Config

Now, ovif is setup for Dahua.

Please, help me get images on linux from this camera. I've attached a print screen from zoneminder which is configured as following:

General
Name: td-9412
Source Type: Remote
Function: Modect
Enabled: Tick
Maximum FPS: Empty
Alarm Maximum FPS: Empty

Source
Remote Protocol: HTTP
Remote Method: Simple
Remote Host Name: 192.168.13.216
Remote Host Port: 80
Remote Host Path: /WebCam.html
Remote Image Colours: 24 bit colour
Capture Width: 320
Capture Height: 240

Regards,
Alx

You will want to use ffmpeg or vlc instead of 'remote' to have ZM read the stream.

If they are not working you want to get them working...they work extremely well when properly configured. I run 6 720P cams at 15FPS and 100% JPEG quality and my server has a load average of about 0.75. Its good stuff.
