Error "Unable to get RTP Info identifier from response"

Post by Saerdna »

Hi!

I am new to Zoneminder and I have just installed zm 1.26.5 on Ubuntu 14.04 desktop version.

I have two Anran IP Cameras from Ebay (/itm/P2P-960P-1-3MP-Megapixel-42-IR-Indoor-CCTV-Security-Network-IP-Camera-Onvif/141486241080?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D227f78c209c64d9a8e56462330f74295%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D141485119196&rt=nc)

I can get the stream from the cameras in VLC using "rtsp://192.168.1.20:554/user=xxxx&password=xxxx&channel=1&stream=0.sdp?" and everything looks great.

However, i cannot get them to work in ZM.

I get a fatal error "Unable to get RTP Info identifier from response 'RTSP/1.0 200 OK Server: H264DVR 1.0 Cseq: 3 Range: npt=now- Session: 12803060 " When I try to add the camera and also error:

"socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-211486s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory!"

and

"getStreamCmdResponse stream error: socket_sendto( /tmp/zm/zms-395030s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory - checkStreamForErrors()"

It seems like the settings for the camera are enough for ZM to access the camera but that response from the camera is not what ZM expects, is there anyone who knows how to get around this?
I also tried to access the camera using HTTP in ZM but then the image was completely red...

accessing the cameras with the browser works without problem
