Unable to connect my cameras

Post by jaderoyston »

I have 7 IP cameras that I live stream using RTSP and everything works perfectly fine. I'm having trouble getting them to communicate with zoneminder.

The model numbers for 6 of them are: PIP-DM2MP-VF

The last camera is: ST-IP121M-2M

I have a feeling I am putting the wrong "Remote Host Path" in for the source when trying to configure the camera. I am tryin RTSP for remote protocol, RTP/RTSP for the remote method and the remote host path I am just trying some of the RTSP url that I use in any media player such as VLC.

Can anyone please help me with putting in the correct information to configure these cameras?

The log I get shows messages below:

It would be helpful if you told us what Remote Host Path you are using. Here's what I use:

Source Type: Ffmpeg
Maximum FPS: leave empty

Source Path: rtsp://username:password@192.168.25.55:554
Target Colorspace: 24 bit colour
capture width: 1280
capture heigth: 960
(use your actual username, password, IP address, and width and height)

Of course, your cameras might need different settings. I couldn't anything for them on google. What settings work for VLC?
