What is the correct way to enable h264?

Hello, I install zoneminder as I read in the guide of "Ubuntu Server 14.04 64-bit with 1.26.5 Zoneminder the easy way", to view it remotely takes much bandwidth.

I have analog cameras.

I have read that I can see videos remotely in h264 format, what is the correct way to enable this option?

Try turning down the resolution on your cameras first. 640x480 to start and set the frame rate lower as well. This should help with the remote viewing.
