Save Events to USB Drive

Hey guys,

I want to save my events to a USB Drive plugged into my RPi.

Not really sure if this is the correct procedure or not.

lsusb returned this as my USB device:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0781:556c SanDisk Corp.

Can anyone help a linux noob out?

Disregard my last. I have abandoned this project. My new solution is my old core 2 duo headless laptop running zm. Events are now saved on laptop and ftp to a hidden rpi in the house
