Looking for recommendation for inexpensive camera for ZM

Post by linuxgurugamer »

I'm about to setup an installation on an atom dual core box. I don't want to spend too much money, but would prefer to get 1280x1024, if possible. Either USB or network access would be fine.

This will go onto a CentOS 6.3 system.

Thanks in advance.

1280x1024 and inexpensive ? I guess it will all depend on what you think expensive is? For me $30 is an expensive camera so I get those cheapo Harbor Freight cameras when they are on sale and I have a 20% off coupon.

Did you have a hunt at store.bluecherry.net

Grandstream GXV3611 HD. Great cameras. POE. Easy to use with ZM. HD resolution that you mentioned. Be warned that the resolution you mentioned will take a lot of HD to store. It's great if you have the space, but most of mine just run at 640x480 for speed and HD space.

Grandstream has a demo feed on their page for each camera model.

Even the cheap ($12) spy cam with audio mic from ebay works with my ImpactVCB capture card on ZM1.25
