exporting event video without losing quality

Post by Mad Professor »

Good day all.

Could someone please advice me how I can go about exporting event videos without losing quality.

I ask as each time I try and export an event to a video, the quality of the exported video is very bad.

Can you please advice.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards.

I do my cams at 640 x 480 and I have exported with every format option, and I hear ya with the poor quality playing the file outside of the ZM console. I think editing the FFMPEG_OUTPUT_OPTIONS would be where I would start.

Add -qscale 5 to ffmpeg output parameters, this should give you about 80-90% quality.
