Hello,
I'm changing computer cause to improve parformance with a CPU Core2 DUO 2.4 GHz.
Now I want to transfer all ZM software installed on the old PC to the new one.
How can I to do it without reinstall.

In particular I just installed on the old PC all the postfix for the e-mail notifier and all the other stuff of ZM.

Can I copy all the ubuntu system (or install the hard disk from the old PC on the new) or have I to copy only some specific folder?

Thank you

I believe you should reinstall it. If the version is the same you could try to export the database to a file and import it in the new installation.

I use ghost for what you're trying to do (disk image to disk). Only issue I've encountered is using it on a LVM2 array. UBCD (Ultimate Boot CD) has the Linux equivalent plus a ton more tools. Linuxtracker.org has several versions available; if you need a seed let me know.

Thanks at all,

however I chosen to reinstall it because I had some problems with the old.

I've got reinstalled all the cameras and now I have to make the zones. On your opition is there a folder that contain the zones datas (31 zone are very much  and I wish to avoid to make it from begin...) ???

Thank you
