changing the ZM principle reducing the HW req.?

Post by johnnytolengo »

Hi I an old user of ZM but I am seeing the the whole world is begining to use IP technology, ZM is a good solution for analog cameras but for IP cameras it still needs a lot of . The thing is that all new brand IP servers are smaller than a cellphone (lol) and it use small procesors and big storange. The motion features and data are procesed inside the cameras and the server just record and replay the recorded event.

I am looking for a NVR sever who will need a small processor and a mini ITX case recording megapixel cameras. At the moment ZM has not the capabilities to do that, still we need muuuuuuch HW.

I am glad to be and ZM user but I am feelling that the project must change the pathway to reduce HW and increase the IP versatility.

Than you for your comments.

Regards.
