two installations on different Zm places

Post by arielf »

hello list, I have two installations on different Zm
places,
I was wondering if you can add the cameras as if
remote parts were to see them all on one console

example:
ZM a: 5 cameras

in ZM b: add ZMA WARCs like cameras
IP

Thanks

if i,m understanding you correctly, yes you cam "bring in" cameras from another ZM install / system.

you can treat an analog cam on one ZM install as an IP camera on another ZM server.

in monitor config

general / source = remote

source / Remote Host Name = IP of 1st ZM
port = what ever port you use to acces the 1st ZM
Remote Host Path = /cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=jpeg&monitor=1&scale=100&user=theusergoeshere&pass=thepasswordgoeshere

all other stuff needs to match the source or original ZM machine that the cams are on.

you could add ZM monitors from many other installs, as IP cams using this method.

keep in mind that, the quality of the monitor will be what ever the view stream quality is of the first ZM machine setting.
if you have it set @ low quality for lower bandwidth, the monitor on the second ZM machine will be @ that quality for recording, and that is IF you have record quality @ 100 percent.

hope this helps
