Dissimilar timestamps in Montage

Post by anupmankar »

Hi,

I have ZM 1.24.1 running with 6 Sony IP cameras. The problem is when I launch Montage view and leave it open for 10-15 minutes, the timestamps on 4 or 5 (out of 6) cameras are completely different from each other. At times there is a difference of 2 to 4 minutes between each pair of timestamps.

What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

If you refresh the page, do the times resync?

If so then it may be that your network or server is struggling to send all the streams at the same rate at the same time so you may need to slow down the streaming rate.

Thanks Phil. I tried switching from MPEG (SWF) to JPEG for streaming and it dramatically improved the situation. The timestamps now seem to be consistent across all montage stream windows.

How do you think I can improve the encoding performance for MPEG streaming so that each stream can basically have matching timestamps?
