Hi,

Is there a way to tell a Hauppauge WinTV card to use the composite input as default instead of TV tuner? I have to change this setting manually each time I boot the box.

I think the default composit input is on channel 2 (The cannel selection in ZM should be called an input as it don't relate to the tuner channels). I know that it is on my Hauppauge PVR-150 with channel 0 being the tuner.

Found the solution

Cordel,

Thanks for your help!

In this case the right combination was

Device path /dev/video0

Device Channel 1

lspci says nothing but the following about the card: 04:04.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture (rev 11)

Does that mean that a regular TV-tuner card, that has 1 tuner input, 1 composite, 1 s-video input could be used like a dvr-card with 2 cameras (composite + s-video) by selecting channels, at half-fps?

With my one card, yes it seems to work fine that way.

It should post that info in the WiKi, as for 2 cameras a separate TV tuner card is NOT needed 8)
