Suggestion on system

Hi there!
I am looking to implement a 32 camera system. The old system is already in place. (VCRS) I want to transfer them to zoneminder, but they don't want to take the plunge right now. So what I wanted to do with zoneminder was get it up and running without any recording (if possible) just to display the cameras. To get them used to the interface. Then down the road transfer them away from the VCR setup.

My question is anyone out there have a large camera setup?
Computer system requirments?
What kindof Video capture card would be suggested?

I am sure I have forgot some info.
