I am trying to get this to work

I have found numerous tid bits of info

maybe I just do not have the experience hoping someone could get me to try or push me in the right direction. I have done alot of usb web cams and dvr card with tvl type analog cameras.

I have worked with foscam crappy and trendnet and axis and a few more but usualy they are well documented with what the configuration is. I am running the latest on a centos install with 1.28

I have been trying the http simple and numerous different ways to enter the credentials with //11 for the path or /554/11
rtsp://admin:mypass@192.168.1.18:554//11
rtsp://192.168.1.18:554/user=admin&password=mypass&-chn=2
rtsp://192.168.1.18:554/cgi-bin/hi3510/snap.cgi?user=admin&password=mypassm&-getstream&-chn=2

the most I am able to get is a blue screen (i actually got excited its been blank through most of my attempts)

now this camera supports rtsp streaming and according to the aliexpresspage I bought it from
rtsp://192.168.1.18/554/11 has anyone worked with suneyes cameras that are IP?

maybe what I need is someone who has experience with ffmpeg

Good news I figured out how and what alot more info and it works.

not tried everything.

I was in the web interface and I used the Inspect element (right clicking in firefox) option and I was able to narrow down the code to this

now with

http://admin:passwhateverip@/cgi-bin/hi3510/snap.cgi?&-getstream&-chn=2

I am able to get a decent video from firefox.
the rest I just pluck into the remote section of zoneminder

source is remote
simple http
remote host name is the ip
then this cgi line for the path and port 80 unless you changed it.. and enter the resolution you have it set to and thats it..

interesting the snap.cgi gives interesting things when you try to mess with the path.. like

searching for /cgi-bin/hi3510/snap.cgi brings up all sorts of intresting things.. i wounder if someone has a listing of the complete commands and options?

note this is still being sold. I have had it down to peeking at -28 C and peek 40C In canada Toronto area.

the down side is this camera seems to want to connect all the time to ec2-54-186-48-247.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com:32100 I have firewalled it. (creapy)

note that Ip using the gateway I have allowing me to run iftop I can see it tries to connect to protocol bf-master (more creapyness) but the cam is great quality Have not played beyond getting it to work recently just wanted to let folks know

I figure I should let you know this camera is dead it dies after a few cold winters. I kept them to analyse what actually died on it. Will let you know when I eventually rip it apart. Note this is the second one to go
