Hi guys, I've got an iQeye 753 and a couple 511's running surveillance in a small office, would anyone know if these will work with Zoneminder (not on supported hardware list).
I can access the cameras through a browser on the local network using these methods:
http://"cameras IP Address" - Web interface using Java app for viewing and settings up camera.
"Cameras IP Address"/mjpg/video.mjpg - Simple Live feed
"Cameras IP Address"/now.jpg?snap=spush - Simple Live feed
Any idea if these will work with Zoneminder, or what settings I should be trying when adding them to zone minder.
I tried the below settings but just get a Red screen from all cameras:
iQeye 511 and 753

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...

Congratulations!
Now you have to fine tune your alarms settings, I recommend you to read this https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Understandi ... or_Dummies

Re: iQeye 511 and 753
Thanks! Seems to be working fine now I've set it to Modect, had to tweak the settings a bit, probably due to the higher resolution of 753 (3MP). One thing I am having trouble with is settings a slightly larger pre/post recording buffer, I amnaged to get the lower resolution 511's up to 100buffer and 50 pre/post recording buffer, but if I set the 753 to anything higher then 60/30/30 for Buffer/pre/post, it goes offline. Do I need to assign more memory or something like that?
I'm also quite surprised how little load there is on the computer, averaging about 2.5% CPU load and using ~400 of 2000MB of RAM with both camera set to 6FPS recording 12FPS alarm.
This is on an old Athlon 64X2 3800+
