Hi, I have been reading older posts, so I wanted to get a fresh perspective. I have 8 analog cameras from my old DVR. I have since built a dedicated Ubuntu 14.04.1 Linux server for zoneminder, and only use IP cameras. I would like to add the old 8 cameras, and need a good recommendation on a card. I am would like to stay under $250 if possible, but have room to move up.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would recommend you use an 8 port video encoder. This would be a DVR box, that will connect via ethernet to the network. If it serves up RTSP or MJPEG on the network, then those streams may be readable by ZM. More details are on the wiki hardware list.
