Post by digitalmasters » Tue Jun 17, 2008 4:43 pm

I don't get any images from xawtv or zm...
I tested the system hardware with windows xp and it worked.
Attempting ubuntu-zoneminder system.

Abit IP35-Pro motherboard
EVGA Nvidia 8600GTS video card
PV-183 8 camer capture card
TP-WIR550 Camera
Ubuntu 7.1 Server 2.6.22-14-server
Installed zoneminder 1.22.3 from "install package" from ubuntu.
Installed xawtv to test cameras.
Edited /etc/modprobe.d/options
options bttv card=98,98,98,98,98,98,98,98

In addition, to get xawtv to work I had to use...

xawtv -nodga -device /dev/video4

Working

Post by digitalmasters » Sun Jun 22, 2008 9:26 pm

Have it working now.

If run xawtv then zoneminder...I don't get any images in zoneminder.
However, if I do a reboot and run zoneminder without running xawtv
then I do get images.

I had similar problems on Lucid 64bit

Found switching to V4L1 fixed the issue.
