Hi there.

The blue screen means no video.

Since I don't know this card,

How do you setup your monitors?

/dev/video0(0)
/dev/video1(0)
....

How many FPS this card does? 100fps? 400fps?

Post here your monitor | source configuration and I'll try to help.

Best regards.

If I understand well your card is a TV8807 (the link you provide doesn't show any card).

And you haven't said how your inputs are configures in zone minder.

I'm not sure, but your inputs probably have to be setup this way:

Input 01 - /dev/video0(0)
Input 02 - /dev/video0(1)
Input 03 - /dev/video0(2)
Input 04 - /dev/video0(3)

Input 05 - /dev/video1(0)
Input 06 - /dev/video1(1)
Input 07 - /dev/video1(2)
Input 08 - /dev/video1(3)

Input 09 - /dev/video2(0)
Input 10 - /dev/video2(1)
Input 11 - /dev/video2(2)
Input 12 - /dev/video2(3)

Input 13 - /dev/video3(0)
Input 14 - /dev/video3(1)
Input 15 - /dev/video3(2)
Input 16 - /dev/video3(3)

If you're not sure your camera is working well, you can use a DVD/VHS composite output (Yellow RCA connector) as video feed.

Best regards.

hi, i have updated the link, is a pdf datasheet.

ubuntu detects the usb webcam on /dev/video0

from the card 4 inputs:
/dev/video1 i have here pluged a visortech cam model: an380mc
/dev/video2
/dev/video3
/dev/video4

the video feed is working well (on a tv via the composite output from the card) but in zyklus mode but not on zm!!

Most likely each chip has four inputs/channles (0 to 3), have you defined these?
Would be like caladeira posted above. Your last post would suggest you overlooked them.

input02 digiprotect2 monitor /dev/video1(1) <---no cam bluescreen
input03 digiprotect3 monitor /dev/video1(2) <---no cam bluescreen
input04 digiprotect4 monitor /dev/video1(3) <---no cam bluescreen
...

Are you sure you have the cam on /dev/video1 chip and not on one of the others?
Are you sure that the card has been detected and setup by the kernel correctly.
Might have a go at going through some of the trouble shooting documentation, this way you can give us better information ;)

I'm not personally familiar with that card, the fact you get a blue screen is a good sign but not a guarantee that it might work. The card does have to have the correct drivers loaded so ZM can control it. With any luck maybe some one that has this card working will happen along and give a clue as to the card type.

Otherwise I think lspci -vv and google might be your best bet and allot of toying around.
You could also search through:

and see if anything turns up there.

I do't suggest just looking through that page as there are alot of cards listed on that page, lspci should turnup something usefull.

I gave you the wrong command  , this is why I have the commands listed in the FAQ in the wiki along with their purpose.

scanpci -v

You should then be able to google for the cardvendor and card and try out the various tidbits you find till you find what gets it working.
