TuxWang 3003-USFBA Support

Post by aindilis »

Hi,

I recently bought 2 of these cameras based on a deal from slickdeals.net that offered them for $15 each:

https://www.amazon.com/TUXWANG-Security ... B0754KCTSH

I didn't realize it would not make available to me the RTSP login. So I am having trouble getting it to work with VLC or ZoneMinder.

Per this thread: https://www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/threads/ ... elnet.938/
I tried ONVIF Device Manager https://sourceforge.net/projects/onvifdm/

That was able to control the PTZ features, but could not get a stream, saying No Signal. It had listed admin/12345 as a password, I wasn't sure if that meant it was for the camera. But trying various means to login to rtsp all failed.

Any help would be appreciated because $15 for a camera with a 120-degree fish eye 1080p w/ sound and PTZ is a good deal I think. I was able to monitor the camera using the eyeplusiot.com website and the EyePlus IOT Android app. But it seems like a vendor lock in if I am unable to access the camera using other software.

Best Regards,
Andrew

Here is the deal site mention:

Note that when I applied the AH7LCEL4 coupon code it knocked off $15 instead of just $5 like the site mentions.

See https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Finding_Camera_Stream_Paths

For $15, I don't think you can complain about not getting an RTSP path, but if you can find it let us know.

I found it. But there is a catch (see end of post).

use vlc (or whatever I'm guessing) and enter for the network stream:
rtsp://<IP>:554/onvif1

username: admin
password: <BLANK>

use onvif2 apparently to get higher res output

found following a tip from here:

https://www.use-ip.co.uk/forum/threads/ ... elnet.938/

Please note, I'm a little confused about whether you use rtsp:// or http://, I thought I used http:// first but now I'm using rtsp. In case that helps.

The catch is that I cannot seem to have it operate without having a connection upstream to the manufacturer, which means that I'm not sure whether the camera will still work when the trial service expires in 3 days from now. I disconnected this camera from the web service, eyeplus, and it stopped streaming. I will continue troubleshooting it.
