Interesting I/O idea for ZM alarms/triggers

The sad part of the story is that mainboards with less than 5 years (maybe more) do not have a parallel port anymore. The good thing is that the price of a parallel port board costs < $25, so it's affordable and feasible.

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...

I still come across boards with LPT headers, just no built in D-sub ports... but yeah, LPT boards can be had super cheap
