Cannot compile ffmpeg as described in CentOS howto

Hi folks,
I have now tried three or four times to build ZoneMinder and found the
resolution to the issue of Error 2 ../subdir.mak in the make section.
The howto request you get this
svn checkout -r 11879 svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg
which is fine if this is NOT the first time you have tried to build ZoneMinder.
If this IS the first time then use
svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg
and all will be well.
