Anyone have a suggestion or can direct me to better settings for my hikvision cameras. How does bitrate affect the quality? I have two cameras at 8fps and 1080p they fill up a 4tb drive in a week and a half.

settings are:
1920x1080
variable bitrate
max bitrate 5120
8fps

I want to have good quality and maybe bump the resolution up but I also want to find a way to free up some disk space to hold on to recordings longer and add more cameras...
